Thousands of pets are euthanized every day in this country. Some of these pets are purebread, others are mixtures of various breeds. Adopting from an animal shelter will save the life of an innocent creature whose greatest desire is to find a home and family of its own.

Older dogs are housetrained. You won't have to go through the difficult stage of teaching a puppy not to have accidents in the house.

Older dogs are not teething puppies and won't chew your shoes and  furniture.
